The Sacred Arts of Tibet Tour

The Sacred Arts of Tibet Tour and Monks from Gaden Shartse Monastery in Southern India are Coming!
Jan 2nd 2022 - Jan 14th 2022
7533 Green Valley Rd, Placerville

Offering Teachings, Workshops, Healings, Cultural Exchange, as well as Land, Home, Business, Personal and Pet Blessings
To usher in 2022 the monks will be creating a mandala in the image of Dukar. Dukar means “White umbrella” or “White parasol”. With her umbrella she shields us from negative energies and emotions, and offers healing from natural disasters. The monks suggested this mandala specifically for El Dorado County in response to the devastation we recently suffered as a result of the Caldor Fire.

Join us and watch the monks as they work each day on the mandala, using ancient instruments to make the intricate designs out of grains of colored sand that will eventually become the full mandala. You are free to sit and enjoy the meditative quality of their work and the atmosphere in the room.

There will also be a variety of unique items brought by the monks for purchase. All proceeds from the tour feed, clothe, house, and educate the Tibetan Monks of Gaden Shartse Monastic College.
